About this session

Over the past few years, the startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia has experienced unprecedented growth. This is because investors fuelled the region’s startups with billions of dollars, governments supported entrepreneurs and startup ecosystems with incentives. In addition, the millions of young and tech-savvy consumers were receptive to new innovations and technologies. But with the economic fallout of the pandemic and the health crisis, how are Southeast Asian startups weathering the storm? How are early-stage startups adjusting to the new normal with fewer venture capital firms investing in the region? What is next for Southeast Asia’s startup ecosystem post-covid?
